Volleyball Prospects Canada Mission Statement:
Volleyball Prospects Canada (VPC) seeks to empower and provide Canadian and International female volleyball athletes with education, exposure, international competition, and development opportunities in pursuit of their dream to play volleyball at the intercollegiate level. Through these avenues Volleyball Prospects Canada also seeks to facilitate the widest range of academic and athletic opportunities for Canadian and International student-athletes.
Canada Prospects Team Mission Statement:
To promote excellence in both academic and athletic pursuits while providing quality development and exposure opportunities to Canada’s top female volleyball athletes. Through international competition and training opportunities, VPC seeks to further develop skills in teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication, striving for the highest in personal development in both academics and athletic competition.
Volleyball Prospects Canada is an innovative athletic development and scholarship assistance program that:
1) Adheres to Volleyball Canada’s Long-Term Athlete Development model (LTAD). See especially Prospects & LTAD.
2) Provides free athlete profiles to male and female volleyball athletes across Canada and Internationally seeking post-secondary scholarship opportunities. This web database is accessible to hundreds of post-secondary coaches from across North America. Registering and maintaining an athlete profile is FREE so update it often, right up until the time you graduate to a university or college program! Unlike a recruiting service, Volleyball Prospects Canada is a not-for-profit organization, therefore we do not need to charge you for hosting your profile.
3) Identifies and evaluates athletes competitively from across Canada. VPC selects Canada’s top female athletes from 15/16/17U age divisions to participate in three weeks of elite training and a high caliber international tournament with our annual Canada Prospects Teams. Athletes who participate in the Team program receive ongoing support and consultation until they have obtained a scholarship.
4) Hosts annual Western/Eastern Canada Showcases in Ontario and Alberta, giving female athletes the opportunity to showcase their talents and gain face-to-face exposure to college and university volleyball coaches/scouts from across North America. Volleyball Prospects Showcases are “athlete-centered” and focus on empowering the athlete to gather information and showcase their abilities to prospective programs in a dynamic and supportive environment.
5) Provides innovative training and international competition opportunities that expands the player development pool available to both Provincial and National Team programs.
Volleyball Prospects Canada does NOT receive monies or revenue for referring any athlete into any post-secondary program in Canada or the United States. It is also a NCAA recruiting violation to compensate any one person or organization when an athlete signs with a post-secondary institution. Athletes freely choose which program they wish to commit to and VPC acts only as a facilitator and educator in this process.
Volleyball Prospects Canada is NOT affiliated with any post-secondary college/university and we encourage athletes to explore all of their options and opportunities. Canadian and American coaches are both welcome at our Annual East & Western Showcases for the benefit of all athletes involved. VPC is an innovative organization representing volleyball coaches and parents who are passionate about volleyball in Canada and are dedicated to helping student-athletes transition from high school to post-secondary play. We are not “pro-American” or “pro-Canadian”; we are “pro-Athlete”!
Athlete Profiles – Conditions of Use:
Use and Privileges: Volleyball Prospects Canada takes the privacy of its Canadian athletes very seriously. Please be aware that use of this athlete database is for post-secondary coaches and their institutions only. No private information of any athlete registered in our database is to be disclosed to any person or entity other than authorized volleyball head or assistant coaches affiliated with your post-secondary institution. Release of any information obtained from this website to a third party and/or use of this athlete information other than for your independent recruiting purposes constitutes a breach of athlete privacy and as such will result in the immediate termination of your account and disclosure of such activity to the director of your institution. Furthermore, privacy laws to protect youths and minors in Canada are very strict and the abuse of such privacy is a violation under the Canadian Criminal Code Section 361(1). This notice also applies to ‘for profit’ recruiting businesses in Canada and the United States – use of any such information obtained from this website may result in immediate legal action and/or criminal/civil investigation/charges.
